ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Wendell Gabriel was given the name “Sri Ashok (Griefless)” by Swami Jyotirmayananda, a direct disciple of Swami Sivananda Maharaj.   

During the time Sri Ashok was searching for The Hidden Light within him, he had spent several years under the close guidance of Swamiji. 

Over the years, Sri Ashok has been a spiritual speaker, healer, and counselor, and has received many awards for his accomplishments.

He had worked with psychiatrists and psychologists in treating various mental illnesses.          

Sri Ashok graduated at Barry University, Miami Shores, Florida. 

  Sri Ashok holds several patents. One of which is a safety product that is being used in hospitals throughout the United States. He also developed a non-violent approach to resolve situations that trigger workplace violence. He is as well the president of the Light Source Publishing LLC

Sri Ashok has inspired many people with his wisdom and musical performances and recordings. Phillip Michael Thomas (Miami Vice Star) once said, “The echoes of Ashok’s voice, and the powerful sound of these Sanskrit chants, travel far beyond the third dimension. They vibrate the soul with peace, bliss, and harmony.” 

Steven Halpern, one of the pioneers of New Age music also stated, “The warmth of Ashok’s voice touches the heart; it inspires the listeners to sing along with these uplifting spiritual chants.” 

  Sri Ashok currently resides in the United States in Miami Beach, Florida. He continues to write books, and provide spiritual counseling. Sri Ashok conducts seminars speaking publicly to promote a more peaceful world, and works toward uplifting the consciousness of humanity.
